Women’s Health

Our GP’s and nurses offer comprehensive health and wellbeing assessments for women.

These include fertility issues, menstrual health, cardiovascular health and menopause.

 

Contraception

Our GP’s can help and advise you regarding the many contraception options available to, and suitable for you. We also insert and remove Implanon, Mirena Coil – Jaydess Coil.

Please discuss these with our GP’s.

Men’s Health

We offer assessments of all aspects of health pertaining to men.

This includes cardiovascular and respiratory health as well as blood pressure, weight management and mental health.

We also can advise and manage dietary issues, smoking cessation and sports injuries.

Mother & Infant

The Mother & Infant Scheme is a state scheme which cares for the pregnant woman and her baby from confirmation of pregnancy up to and including 2 visits for the baby after they are born

If you discover you are pregnant, we recommend you contact your GP to confirm your pregnancy and get enrolled on the scheme.

Immunisations

Our nurses deliver vaccinations as per the Childhood Immunisation Schedule. An appointment for your child can be made by contacting reception.

We also deliver annual flu vaccine for at risk groups. Pneumococcal vaccine is also available.

Pregnant woman should also contact their nurse or doctor to discuss vaccination’s which are available to them.

Skin & Minor Surgery

Dr. George Roberts has a special interest in skin and dermatology.

A number of minor surgeries can also be carried out at Beaumont Park Clinic following consultation with our doctors.

Travel & Health

Travel Vaccination can be arranged prior to worldwide travel.

We recommend you contact the nurse to discuss your destination well in advance or your trip in order to ensure you are adequately vaccinated in good time.

Occupational Health

Beaumont Park Clinic provides pre-employment health assessments, medical reports and medical questionnaires for companies and businesses.

Blood Tests

Blood tests can be arranged following consultation with your doctor.

These are performed in Beaumont Park Clinic on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings at dedicated blood clinics. Please contact reception to make an appointment.

Alternatively, blood tests can be performed in Beaumont Hospital by direct arrangement with the Phlebotomy Department in the hospital.

Following your blood test (in the clinic or in the hospital) please contact your GP 7 days afterwards for your results.

Family Planning

Our GP’s are available to discuss any aspects of family planning.

This includes pre-pregnancy counselling, fertility issues and all aspects of contraception amongst others.

We can organise preliminary fertility investigations in the clinic. Please contact the GPs regarding this.

Cervical Check

Cervical Smear tests are a simple and quick procedure to detect abnormal cells in a woman’s cervix.

The National Cervical Screening Programme provides free smear tests to all women aged 25 to 60. Our practice nurses perform these tests.

Please contact reception if you wish to book your free Cervical Smear.

Please note: The best time to have a smear performed is “mid-cycle” (i.e. approximately one week after the end of your period).

Chronic Diseases

Chronic disease management is an essential part of primary care.

We manage many chronic diseases including asthma, COPD, diabetes and cardiovascular disease amongst many other.

Smoking cessation advice and treatment.

Sexual Health

We provide help, support and advice on all aspects of Sexual Health.

We can also arrange for screening tests for sexually transmitted infections and treatment of these should it be required.
